Lessons learned from the 1997-1998 Asian financial crisis and the responses were identified and compared to the responses to the 2008-2009 global financial crisis.

The Vietnamese economic stimulus package was studied and key gender issues of the Vietnamese economic stimulus package were identified and recommendations were made for consideration for future economic stimulus packages and policies in Vietnam.
