Katie is an economist specializing in international development, holding a BA in Economics and Development Studies from the University of Manchester and an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge. Her academic pursuits included researching and completing dissertations on renewable energy projects in Bangladesh and Tajikistan.
Her dedication to renewable energy extends beyond academia, as evidenced by her role as a writer for The Climate News UK, where she explores Vietnam's advancements in electric vehicles. Prior to joining MKE, Katie gained practical experience through internships at the British Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City and Quareo Capital in London.
During her time at MKE, Katie has managed large-scale projects for major international donors, including the World Bank, UNOPS, UNICEF, and USAID. Her portfolio spans the Asia-Pacific region, where she has overseen complex operations ranging from enterprise surveys in the Pacific Islands to humanitarian monitoring in conflict-affected areas of Myanmar.
