Callum Furness, Economist (Myanmar)


Callum holds an MSc in International Development from the University of Manchester in the UK, with a specialized focus on Politics, Governance and Development Policy, as well as a B.A in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of York.

Callum already has considerable experience in South-East Asia, having conducted a political economy analysis of land reform in Cambodia as part of his master’s dissertation, analyzing the drivers and impacts of economic land concessions. Moreover, Callum gained an understanding of the agricultural sector during his previous work experience as research assistant at the Cambodian Rural Development Team (an NGO based in Phnom Penh), where he supported project design and implementation.
